Summary
Our Support Services Group has an opening for an Incident Response Engineer at our corporate headquarters located in South Burlington, VT that will provide remote technical support for Microsoft-based business environments. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company in a fast-paced industry. Candidates must be technically proficient, excited about technology, self-motivated, and enjoy serving others.
Major Goals and Responsibilities
- Provide remote and onsite server and network infrastructure support for both Microsoft and Linux environments
- Ensure client networks remain stable with maximum uptime through proactive and reactive technical support
- Adhere to and innovate processes and procedures to improve service delivery.
- Manage clients? servers and networks; identify and remediate issues.
- Possesses the passion for customer service and the desire to create ?raving fans?
The successful candidate has skills in the following areas
- Microsoft Windows Active Directory
- Microsoft Exchange Server
- Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems (Win9x/NT/2000/XP)
- Microsoft Windows file and print services
- Citrix Presentation Server and Access Gateway
- HP, Dell, IBM, and other server hardware
- IP networking concepts, design, and administration
- Cisco router and firewall configuration
- Understanding of firewall functions and administration techniques
- Server based backup software/hardware
- Enterprise Anti-Virus utilities
Educational Requirements
- AS/BS Computer Networking related program or equivalent experience
- Industry Certifications a plus (MCP, MCSE, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, etc.)
- Previous business to business IT support experience
Technical Requirements
- A thorough working knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory and Group Policy management is required.
- Only candidates with practical experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory domain environments will be considered.
